As announced by Dr. Dodjie S. Maestrecampo, Mapúa MCM president, Malayan Colleges Mindanao has been rejuvenated and renamed Mapúa Malayan
Colleges Mindanao (Mapúa MCM). This has been made all the more official with the school’s unveiling of its rebranded Façade on April 27, 2023.
“Our new name, Mapúa Malayan Colleges Mindanao, aptly represents our
competencies, focus, and vision. By putting our heritage at the forefront, we firmly attest
that our graduates and students have been trained and equipped with the same
academic and technological excellence that Mapúa is known for,” Maestrecampo said.
The rebranding reflects the legacy of excellence and global standards in which the
college is rooted. It is also a nod toward the institution’s commitment to high-quality
education that equips students to compete globally.
The move also heralds the higher education institution’s efforts to transform itself into a
the comprehensive university is known for its encompassing leadership in engineering and
technological, computing, architecture, health sciences, business, and the arts.
Aside from its world-class programs and courses, Mapúa MCM uses a learner-centered,

Five years after it first opened its doors, Mapúa MCM has cemented its foundations as
one of the leading private schools in Mindanao. This is evident in the growth of its
student population, from 1,200 in 2018 to over 5,000 students last year.
